About Us

Since its inception in 2004, the goal of Just for the Kids-NY/Know Your Schools~for NY Kids has been to help schools learn from other schools that are performing well. We invite you to use our "Find Your School" feature to check out any school in the state and see how it compares with similar schools. We also encourage you to explore the "Best Practices" area, where you can learn more about how higher-performing schools support their students to achieve at higher levels.

The project is sponsored by the University at Albany's School of Education, in collaboration with The Business Council of New York State and the New York State Education Department.
